Trampolining Classes

All classes run to British gymnastics guidelines and policies. The ratios of gymnasts to coach are 16:1 on 2 Trampolines. The club aims to have these ratios as a minimum standard. Classes are pre-planned on a termly basis and the contents are designed to both encourage progression and provide opportunity to learn the basic jumps with good technique before leading in to specialisation and routines for competitions.
Trampoline classes are split in to beginners, Intermediate and advanced classes. No previous trampoline experience is needed to enter a beginners group.
Gymnasts get the opportunity each term to try out for a British gymnastics trampoline proficiency award and may take part in club competitions and displays.

BEGINNERS:
These classes are for children of school age who have no or little formal trampoline experience.
The classes teach gymnasts basic shapes and how to use the equipment safely.
Gymnasts develop basic co-ordination skills that can be used in many sports. There is opportunity to work towards British Gymnastics badges. Gymnasts from this class can be selected by the coaches to join the development squads.

INTERMEDIATE:
Intermediate classes are designed for gymnasts who have attended trampoline classes and understand basic terminology and can do basic skills. Gymnasts are invited to attend the annual gymnastics festival and work towards British Gymnastics Badges. Gymnasts are selected from these classes for our development groups.

ADVANCED:
These classes are for gymnasts who are experienced and have a sound knowledge of basic trampolining skills, they work towards the British gymnastics medal schemes and can compete in inter-club competitions.
